The Royal Agricultural University
Steeped in history, The Royal Agricultural University provides a spectacular setting. It’s easy to image your perfect day at our picturesque venue. Awaiting you is a delightful Victorian Chapel, 25 acres of grounds and a choice of splendid rooms for civil ceremonies, and receptions, some dating to the 16th Century. Mullion windows, pretty gardens, a croquet lawn all add up to the sense of occasion and provide a wonderful backdrop for your marriage and wedding reception.
Idyllic Chapel, Civil Ceremonies and Elegant Suites
Whether your ideal wedding is small and intimate or a large extravaganza, our selection of reception and dining rooms offers the perfect solution
The picturesque Victorian chapel, complete with stunning stained glass window, is located within the grounds, close to the reception rooms. It is fully licensed and available for hire should you wish to hold a private multi-denominational religious ceremony. This can be arranged with the agreement of our resident Chaplains, who are always pleased to meet and discuss formalities with prospective bride and grooms. Civil marriage, partnerships and commitment ceremonies as well as renewal of vows, can be held at the RAU in the Bathurst Suite, Kenneth Russell Room or the 16th Century Tithe Barn. Should your guests require overnight accommodation, we are pleased to offer Bed and Breakfast.
