Civil ceremonies in the Cyder House dated 1446 - the oldest licensed wedding barn in Gloucestershire

Owlpen Manor

Enjoy exclusive access to this hidden valley for a weekend: Tudor manor house, stunning gardens, boutique holiday cottages and two magical wedding venues

The Tudor manor house at Owlpen Manor has been described as "the most beautiful place in England" and now the Mander family who live there offer guests exclusive use of this private estate for a whole weekend, from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon.

At Owlpen we have two stunning wedding venues to choose from, and plenty more spaces for couples who are looking for woodland or festival weddings. Our 15th century Cyder House can accommodate up to 100 people with a marquee attached to the side, and the Cyder House becomes a bar and dance floor for evening parties. The space is licensed for civil ceremonies, and guests can enjoy a drinks reception in the historic hanging gardens of the Tudor manor house after the ceremony.

In front of the manor house, our bespoke wedding lawn can accommodate up to 200 people in a majestic pole marquee. The manor house is the backdrop of this beautiful scene, with woods behind the house and rolling fields stretching behind the venue.

At Owlpen we can host winter weddings and smaller summer celebrations for up to 50 people in the Cyder House, and the Great Hall of the manor house is licensed for civil ceremonies, allowing guests to enjoy a piece of history in this remote valley.

Just a stone's throw from the manor house, the church of the Holy Cross is a perfect venue for religious ceremonies, and we can help to coordinate arrangements with the parish priest.

Our nine holiday cottages are dotted around the valley, and all are within a ten minute walk from the manor house. They can accommodate up to 38 people, meaning that many of the wedding party can stay on site for the whole weekend.

We offer guests a bespoke service, allowing as much choice as possible. You can bring in your own drinks and pay a service charge instead of corkage, spend all day decorating the marquee and Cyder House according to your requirements, and arrange for games and decorations in the manor gardens at your leisure. All to make sure your day is the most perfcet event that is tailored to your own requirements.
